How we pick

How a product earns a place here.

A short list, on purpose

FMPR (Find My Perfect Ride) is a deliberately small, curated catalog run by Fontenot's Sales Association LLC (FSA). Products are selected by Kaygun Fontenot. A product gets in when its retailer listing documents a clear job, usable fitment notes, and a verifiable destination — not because a merchant asked.

Researched, not hand-tested — and labeled that way

Picks are research-based selections made from retailer listings and documented specifications. FMPR does not claim hands-on testing it has not done, and product pages say so. FMPR publishes no star ratings and no numeric scores, because it has not earned them through testing.

Fitment before features

Every pick carries fitment information — vehicle types, year/make/model notes, and seller-stated exclusions where they exist. Product pages show a fitment status line and a “Skip this if” note so the wrong buyer can rule a product out fast.

Trade-offs are printed

Every product page carries a trade-offs section and a “Why it earns a spot” section. The downside we can document is published next to the upside.

Prices belong to the merchant

FMPR never types a price by hand. Until a permitted live price source exists, cards and pages say “Check price at [merchant]” and show the date the listing details were last checked. Price, stock, shipping, and returns are always the merchant's.

Editorial and commercial stay separate

FMPR earns commissions through affiliate links, disclosed directly under every buy button. Commission rates never decide whether a product is picked or where it appears; ordering follows editorial judgment (Kaygun's Picks first), not pay rates.

Checked, and stamped

Each product page shows a last-checked date for its listing details. Listings change — that is why the check-price step and the stamp exist.
